Transportation Injury Cases:
RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING
FATALITY
Homebuilder John William Sealy was killed at an unprotected
railroad crossing because his view was obstructed by excessive
vegetation. His damages were determined and awarded by the
court. Before trial, the railroad offered only a nominal sum
to settle the case.
“I find it next to impossible
to thank Mr. Branson and his entire staff for all he did for
our family, not only during the trial, but from day one of
our relationship with the law firm. I do not believe the award
to our family would have been so large if we had not hired
the Branson firm.”—Lane Sealy, John’s
father

WRECK/DOMINANT ARM INJURY
A concrete company’s incentive program resulted in a
truck-automobile collision injuring eight people. Prior to
the accident, management had been warned about the perils
of its compensation policy and declined to make changes for
safety’s sake. Following the crushing blow to her elbow,
Mrs. Mulhern developed Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.
“The firm’s very focused
manner and attention to detail, coupled with Mr. Branson’s
unbelievable negotiating skills, helped us to receive a settlement
much larger than anything we expected. We are also thankful
that the Law Offices of Frank L. Branson are there for others
that might find themselves in similar situations.”
—Charles and Karen Mulhern, Karen’s parents
COMMERCIAL AIR CRASH
After demonstrating how the crash of Delta flight 1141 should
have been prevented, Mr. Branson negotiated settlements for
six victims.

TRUCK ACCIDENT
A Tyler jury rendered a verdict for Mr. Branson's client after
it found that a truck wreck was the responsibility of the
truck’s owner who made the trucker drive without a reasonable
amount of sleep.
BRAIN DAMAGE FROM AUTO ACCIDENT
Mr. Branson helped the family of a young lawyer severely injured
in a traffic accident recover damages from Fox and Jacobs.
MOTOR VEHICLE FATALITY/NEGLIGENT ENTRUSTMENT
The granddaughter of former Oklahoma governor and U.S. Senator
Robert S. Kerr had a blood alcohol level of .21 when the car
she was driving collided with another vehicle, killing a 12
year old boy, Ryan Dawson, and his grandfather. The driver’s
father knew about her history of alcohol problems and still
co-leased a car for her.
“We have been asked a number of
times by various people why we hired a law firm from out-of
–state to represent our family in our wrongful death
case. Without Frank Branson, his attorneys and staff, I am
confident we would not have received a fair recovery.”
—Neomia Dawson, Ryan’s mother
