J. Gregory Marks went into plaintiff's law
with one goal: to help people. He sums up his legal mission
as "fighting the good fight". He believes that because attorneys
are out there fighting to make changes in design, policy and
rules, those changes will eventually occur. In a recent case,
Marks talks about a verdict that caused a hospital to completely
change its training procedures for the better. "That, to me,
is really our mission. Because in the end, change really does
occur as a result of what we do."

Keys to winning a case
According to Marks, hard work, preparation
and the creativity in which you present your case can mean
the difference between winning and losing. "Branson's law
firm provides its attorneys with the support they need - the
video, animation and medical illustrators - to take a very
detailed concept and present it to a jury in a way they will
understand."
The power of the jury
He is a strong believer in the power of
a jury. Case by case, he works to keep the power in the jury's
hands. One of the most rewarding things Marks does is help
a "little person being taken advantage of by a big corporation."
